Conservative, Liberal or?
Much discussion has focused on are you a Democrat or a Republican? A good idea is to ficus on what people believe in. I have to wonder if John Kennedy could fit in to the Democratic Party today-probably not. I also am concerned with the obvious core values of people leaning to the GOP the Republican party has done such a poor job of communicating any sort of message.
A good education, access to health care and a safe retirement are worthwhile goals. How does the GOP look to move to those goals. We know the democrat answer, much more government, increased spending/debt and higher taxes.
In August of 2008 the Battleground Poll found that 60 percent of Americans identify themselves as conservative and only 36 percent as liberal.

Love the post – keep up the great blogging!
I saw a poll not too long ago that actually showed the RNC ahead in polling as far as identification for the first time in like 3 decades.
I think BO is doing all the selling for us – and his ad men Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are helping deliver the message that will drive people back to the right.
I just hope there is someone there like Huckabee/Romney/Graham/Santorum who will be ready with a real conservative message and not some half assed big tent wishy washy nonsense. It doesn’t compute, just like your poll shows.
People want a leader, not a poll watcher.
If you get a chance -we just reviewed BO’s first 4.5 months – come on by and take a gander – love any feedback!
