Reagan Over Kennedy

February 19, 2011

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 27% of American Adults believe Reagan should be chosen if there were another federal holiday celebrating a past president. Twenty percent (20%) pick Kennedy. Fourteen percent (14%) say Thomas Jefferson should be recognized with a holiday, while nine percent (9%) think Franklin D. Roosevelt deserves it most.

Just two percent (2%) prefer Theodore Roosevelt, and four percent (4%) opt for some other president. Twenty-three percent (23%) are undecided.

Still, Americans aren’t exactly looking for another federal holiday.  Twenty-eight percent (28%), in fact, say there are already too many federal holidays. Fifty-three percent (53%) say the number of federal holidays is about right.”
