Obama Tax Deal or More Spending?

December 10, 2010

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters think reducing federal government spending is more important than reducing the deficit. Thirty-four percent (34%) put reducing the deficit first.

Somehow the outgoing Congress did not get the memo. The latest ‘tax deal’ is literally a ramped up spending bill gathering incentives and more spending which we do not need.

Internet poker? Wind energy incentives? The list goes  on in order to get the thieving Congress to make decent policy they have to be bought off.

The Tax Deal had some merit but it is now up to almost $1 trillion, no thanks.
