MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) told reporters Monday that he would have joined President Obama at the labor festival if he had been able to be there.

“I want to be with the president; I have never figured out how to be two places at once,” Feingold said. “I always go to the Janesville parade in my hometown, which is one of the oldest Labor Day parades in America, but I was thrilled to be here with the president a couple of weeks ago.”

He added, “When he comes back, I look forward to being with him again.”
