UD to host Domestic Terrorist Bill Ayers

February 22, 2010

Firstly, the University of Delaware College of Education & Public Policy is hosting a speech by Dr. William Ayers this Wednesday 2/24 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at 207 Willard Hall in Newark.  The speech is titled “Urban Schools: Teaching and Learning in and for Democracy.”

So now the UofD is engaging a known domestic terrorist to teach Alinsky tactics to education students.  Just great!

Another crop of well educated progressives to indoctrinate some more of our kids… AWESOME!

The REALITY here is that the University of Delaware recieves public funding and yet it isn’t required to open its books? There’s no real requirement that the school teach all sides of the issues? I’d SUPPORT U of D for bringing in Bill Ayers to teach his drivel if we could also have…say Glenn Beck come in and teach his. That’s not the case here. U of D is simply showing it’s Progressive side here and is failing their latest crop of teachers. It’s even using OUR tax dollars to do it.

It seems that we pay U of D ~$121 million in aid. $12.3 million of that is titled “Other Programs” which one can only assume would be part of what is paying Bill Ayer’s speaking fee (which the school has said it is paying). We could get a lot closer to a balanced budget by cutting $121 million from the budget. Also, it doesn’t appear that U of D is offering ANY opposing viewpoint or counterpoint to Bill Ayers.
