The Cost of a Life?

July 25, 2009

As we march towards a government takeover  of  health care one has to ask what is the value of a life?

Why? Simple, to control costs one country has determined the following.

“Britain’s national health board has determined that a year of life is worth $35,000; if a life-saving drug or procedure would cost more than that, the British health care system can deny a patient that treatment”

from http://www.ncpa.org

Despite our challenges do we want to have the government doing this sort of cost control?

I hope not.
