State Auditor Wagner: School Superintendent Salaries Inflated

June 2, 2009

Kudos to Delaware State Auditor Tom Wagner for highlighting the inflated salaries of the school superintendents.  He is right to call out the school boards on this.

“We have too much administrative cost in public education,” State Auditor R. Tom Wagner Jr. said. “It has to be addressed.”

Wagner also wants to consolidate the school districts, a plan DelawareRepublican supports.   He also noted that three districts out of 19 have only one building each: Delmar, Polytech and Sussex Tech.
