Wilmington GM Plant to be Idled

General Motors announced production cutback today in light of rising inventories and declining sales. The production cutback include a temporary shutdown of 13 plants nationwide, which affects 24,000 employees.
The Wilmington, Del. GM plant which builds the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, Opel GT roadsters will be idled for an extended period of time. The time will be longer the routine two-week idle GM performs each summer.
