The New Cost of Government under Obama
March 1, 2009
Last year $ 3.2 billion was spent on lobbying efforts in Washington, D C. That rate on an annual basis means for every day Congress was in session $17.4 million was spent on Lobbying.
What was pretty bad last year will go up in 2009. According to Patton Boggs a lobbying firm in Washington DC they see an increase for 2009 as an ‘era of activist government’ begins.
The only part of the economy which will see an increase in 2009 will be lobbyists?
